Santa was greeted by a crowd gathered in front of the Upper Valley Mall to greet him Saturday, Nov. 14 as he arrives for the holiday season. Hundreds of children and their parents showed up to see Santa for the first time this year.

Porsche Escape
There were a few more Porsches in the Miami Valley the first week of October, as the Porsche Club of America “escaped to the birthplace of aviation.”
The PCA has held parades for many years,” explained Escape organizer Kathie Hunter. “But parades are all about competition, auto cross, time-speed-distance rallies, judged car shows and concours, and they last a week. About five years ago, PCA came up with the idea of an Escape weekend, strictly social and fun.”

State volleyball at Nutter Center
Marion Local played Hopewell-Loudon in the Division IV semifinal at the Nutter Center in Dayton on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009. Marion Local won the match for a spot in the state championship. Earlier in the day, Dublin Coffman played Stow-Monroe Falls during a Division I state volleyball semifinal match. Dublin Coffman won the match 3-0.
