Man shot in stomach in Springfield

Shooting in Springfield
Springfield Police are investigating a shooting in the 500 block of Rebecca Drive this morning, Monday, Nov. 16. The shooting reportedly occurred about 6:30 a.m., police said, and no suspects are in custody.

Shot fired at wildlife officers
No one was injured after a shot was fired at two Ohio Division of Wildlife officials in Champaign County late Friday, Oct. 30. The bullet pierced the windshield and reportedly traveled between the two wildlife officials as they sat in their vehicle, patrolling for deer poachers. A short pursuit followed and the two men were taken into custody.

Truck rolls over on highway
The Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a rollover crash on Ohio 4 near Ohio 369 Thursday morning, Oct. 29. The driver of the truck was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.

Bodies found shot to death
The bodies of a man and woman found shot to death in the parking lot of Jellybean Junction daycare facility in Fairfield had gunshot wounds to the head. The bodies were discovered by a lawncare service employee in a Jeep Cherokee at Mack and Winton Roads around 9:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26 -- three hours after the daycare center opened.
