Car hits transformer
Part of a pole broke when a car struck it causing the wires to arc and catch fire in Champaign County Wednesday, Oct. 28. The driver was transported to the hospital by CareFlight.

Injured burglar found in home
An alleged burglar was injured after a homeowner caught the man in his home at the corner of Rose and East Streets Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 16, 2009. The homeowner discovered the burglar around 12:30 p.m.,
a struggle ensued and the intruder was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where he's reportedly in good condition.

Shot fired at wildlife officers
No one was injured after a shot was fired at two Ohio Division of Wildlife officials in Champaign County late Friday, Oct. 30. The bullet pierced the windshield and reportedly traveled between the two wildlife officials as they sat in their vehicle, patrolling for deer poachers. A short pursuit followed and the two men were taken into custody.
