| What is the biggest challenge facing Bath Township and what plans do you have for solving that challenge? | ||
State and local governments are faced with the crisis of drastically declining funding, putting pressure on providing services and adequately remunerating employees. Bath Township is no exception. Through years of experience in dealing with budgets, I and my fellow trustees have been fiscally conservative. I plan to continue spending only what is necessary and maintaining reserves to insure continued services. I intend to see that taxpayers get the most of their dollars.

Township Trustees are charged with a number of responsibilities, some of which include; maintaining all aspects of the Township roads; Fire and EMS Service; maintaining and operating Byron Cemetery, hiring and training of personnel and the purchase and maintenance of equipment. I see the biggest challenge as being fincally responsible to the residents of Bath Township in spending their tax dollars while carrying out these responsibilities.

Keeping the township a township. Areas such as Route 4 (Bath, Adams Kitridge) face attempts not only aggressive annexation but "seizure" by Huber Heights inimate domain to take farms at "unfair market" values. In past current trustees "OK" a development for lower income properties in southern part of township despite disagreement. Keeping township in interest of Fairborn as higher property values maintain based on healthy boundaries. Keeping roads with fresh pavement, not chip seal.
